Welcome to my e-portfolio! This portfolio serves to reflect my growth throughout my professional semesters and beyond!
My name is Miss. Cheesman and I am currently enrolled in the combined B.A/B. Ed. degree program at the University of Lethbridge. My first curriculum major is comprised of a General Major in Social Sciences, with the following streams: history, geography, and psychology, while my second curriculum major consists of Social Studies Education.
I was inspired to enter this profession, largely because my mother was an educational assistant, and her commitment and collaboration with teachers provided me with a great deal of exposure to the world of teaching, from a young age. Prior to my Education 2500 field experience, I also completed two years of work experience in Grades 1, 2, and 3. These wonderful and challenging years successfully reaffirmed that my skill set was suited for teaching. In addition, throughout my practicums, I have found that my involvement with athletics, fine arts, leadership, and mental health awareness, have helped me relate to a variety of diverse students.
Please visit the teaching philosophy tab to learn more about my personal philosophy related to teaching and learning.
My responsibilities as a Tutor range from planning suitable activities for various curriculum levels (grades 6, 8, and 10) to providing emotional support relating to student needs. I was requested by parents of students that I taught during the following practicums: Education 2500 and Professional Semester II.
